The Kent State men’s basketball team has added another player from the transfer portal in forward Cameron Williams.

Williams transfers in from Portland and brings starting experience, starting 28 of 31 games he appeared in last season. He averaged 10.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game with a season high of 25. He had a team-high 20 points when KSU matched up with Portland on Dec. 14 in a game where the Pilots were able to win 88-78 at home.
Williams also brings in championship experience at the JUCO level, winning a championship with Trinity Valley College during the 2024-2025 season. He averaged 10.2 points per game along with 5 boards. He started his career at Moberly CC.
This marks the third portal addition as coach Rob Senderoff seeks to rebuild a Flashes team that lost its entire starting lineup. Forward Latif Diouf also signed recently with the Flashes from the portal and brings size and additional championship experience to KSU.
