After six weeks of challenges, recouplings and public votes, “Love Island USA” crowned its Season 8 winners Sunday night.
Trinity Tatum and Bryce Dettloff took first place after receiving the most viewer votes, with host Arianna Madix announcing the results. The cast celebrated the end of a summer full of romance, friendships and drama.

“I’m just really glad that I got to meet Bryce,” Tatum said. “He really makes me happy and makes me feel seen and heard.”
Nicknamed by fans as “Brinity,” the couple emerged as frontrunners early in the season after coupling up on premiere night. They became the first couple to “close off” their relationship in the villa, before making it official as boyfriend and girlfriend.
The two stayed together through Casa Amor, the show’s annual twist that separates couples and introduces a new group of Islanders to test existing relationships. Dettloff repeatedly expressed how much he missed Tatum while separated during Casa Amor.
“These girls are all beautiful … but [they’re] not her,” Dettloff said.
Their relationship reached another milestone during the finale when Dettloff told Tatum he loved her for the first time. The pair split the $100,000 grand prize, with each receiving $50,000.
“I’m just so grateful to be with you,” Dettloff said. “Like, I do love you so much, and every day feels so special…and I can’t wait for life outside of this.”

Aniya Harvey and Carl Schmidt finished as the runners-up. Harvey entered as an original cast member, while Schmidt arrived as a bombshell during “Casa Amor.”
Although Harvey initially chose another partner during the recoupling, she remained single after he was picked by someone else, sending Schmidt home. However, a fan vote brought Schmidt back to the villa, reuniting them, and they remained together through the finale.
“I’m really excited,” Harvey said. “Carl, you’re just so special to me.”

Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea placed third. Many viewers questioned whether the couple would last after weeks of ups and downs, particularly following Movie Night and Family Day, which put their relationship to the test.
Zach Georgiou and Kayda Boose finished in fourth place. The pair entered the finale as an exclusive couple, but had not made their relationship official, leading fans and fellow Islanders to label them a “situationship.”
Finale night ended with the Islanders continuing the tradition of jumping into the pool fully clothed while celebrating the season. Throughout the summer, the season inspired endless jokes including “CorbinGPT,” “clam slammer,” and “gimme 10” memes.

Fans now turn their attention to the Love Island USA Season 8 reunion, premiering on Peacock at 9 p.m. ET on Aug. 31, providing updates on which couples are still together and revisiting unresolved drama. Peacock has also confirmed “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” will return for a third season in 2027.
