Totally 80’s Ice Ice Cream Shoppe is expected to open a location in Acorn Alley in mid-March.

The business first opened its Salem location in April 2024 and recently opened an Austintown store. It’s an 80’s themed store that offers several ice cream flavors and nostalgic candy and sodas.

Mike Thorpe, a co-owner of the business along with his wife, said they opened the shop because they love ice cream and the 80’s and thought it was a great way to combine the two. The name, Totally 80’s Ice Ice Cream Shoppe, is a play on 1990 the song “Ice Ice Baby.” The store is decorated with 80’s music and movie posters, along with other memorabilia.

The Thorpe family is excited to expand their business and serve the Kent community. They hope to provide an affordable and fun environment for people of all ages.
