University Registrar’s Office releases December graduation application due date
The University Registrar’s Office has released the dates for students applying for December graduation.
The December graduation deadline for graduate students and undergraduate students pursuing an associate’s degree is Aug. 30, according to the University Registrar’s website.
For undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree, who are planning to graduate in December, the application deadline has already passed, according to the University Registrar’s Office.
Undergraduates hoping to graduate in May need to file their application by Sept. 15.
Ann Haley, associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, said if students miss the graduation application deadline, they must file a late application explaining why it’s late and also pay a $200 university-mandated late fee.
Haley added that if there is a valid reason as to why the application is late, sometimes the student’s college could waive the fee.
Haley said she suggests all students meet with their advisers for a graduation evaluation by the end of their junior year.
