An 8-year-old beagle named Jack made an appearance outside the Kent State Library April 30, sporting a cowboy hat and an adorable smile. His owner, Cordelia Schardt-Cordova, brought Jack out to the K to bring students joy in the midst of stressful finals.
“Jack just loves people,” said Schardt-Cordova. “He legitimately thinks everyone exists to pet him.”
Jack grew up around cats and large dogs, so even though there was a lot going on around him, he was unfazed. He normally lives in Columbus, but was in Kent visiting for the week.
Jack showed off his many talents, including running alongside a skateboard and shaking hands. Schardt-Cordova says he loves treats and that is what motivates him to learn new tricks.
