Kent State Gymnastics members senior Charlie Behner, senior Heidi Schultz and sophomore Jersey Bingman have qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships as selected individual qualifiers.
Behner qualified for two separate events, the vault and uneven bars due to her outstanding and consistent performances throughout the season. She earned All-Mid-American Conference honors and achieved an NQS of 9.850 for the vault and 9.855 for the uneven bars.
The Flashes have two gymnasts who will be competing in the regionals for the vault event, Behner being one as well as Bingman. She recorded a vault NQS of 9.835. Bingman has been a significant contributor for KSU this season, and this will mark her first qualification for the NCAA Regionals.
The final KSU gymnast to qualify for regionals is Schultz for the balance beam event. She earned a NQS of 9.850 for the beam. Schultz was also recognized for All-MAC honors and has been performing high-scoring routines all season for the Flashes.
These three gymnasts will compete in the Lexington NCAA Regionals on April 1-5 at the University of Kentucky.
