The Kent Stage will host a special Halloween Seance with angel reader Laura Lyn Friday, Oct. 31, at Main Street Memorabilia.
The event invites people who are interested to come and connect with spirits “on the night when the veil is thinnest.”
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the seance beginning at 8 p.m. Coffee and cider will be provided, along with Halloween cookies and candy.
Laura Lyn is a psychic medium and author from Akron, Ohio. She has been working professionally as a psychic for over 23 years.
“This is my 12th annual seance, and I’m excited to do it with The Kent Stage,” Lyn wrote in an email.
A seance usually involves a group of people sitting in a circle in an attempt to communicate with spirits. Participants attending this year will be treated to a candlelight ritual and a Halloween ambiance.
“My seances are not scary,” Lyn wrote. “They are very spiritual and compassionate, but it is Halloween, so we’re going to talk about spooky stuff, too.”
Lyn will bring messages from the spirit realm for each participant. She hopes to tap into each person’s loved ones, angels and spirit guides.
She will also have time to give everyone a card reading and answer questions after the circle.
Sometimes, there are surprises during the seance, and stories come through that have everyone laughing, she said.
“One year, Robin Williams came through,” Lyn wrote. “You never know who might show up.”
Tickets can be purchased online at kentstage.org or in person at Main Street Memorabilia.
