Freshman journalism major Madison MacArthur ties a ribbon to the fence as a sign of solidarity for Shadi Farah for the Israeli Apartheid Week in Risman Plaza on Monday, March 20, 2017. Farah is a 13-year-old boy serving a three-year prison sentence by the Israeli government. MacArthur was not aware about Shadi’s situation. “It’s just stuff that you don’t learn about, like I didn’t know about any of this," MacArthur said.
