A pre-trial for the third man involved in the death of Kent State student Christopher M. Kernich was held this morning at the Portage County Court of Common Pleas.

A criminal jury trial is set for Glenn Jefferson, 22, of Mentor, at 9 a.m. Sept. 8 in Judge Laurie Pittman’s courtroom, according to court records.

Jefferson was charged with obstructing justice, a third degree felony.
