How changes to SNAP benefits impact the Kent community

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits have decreased to pre-pandemic levels in March, and Portage County residents are starting to see the effects.

For years, many Ohioans have been relying on assistance payments to help cover the cost of food and groceries. During the pandemic, those payments were increased; but now the additional payments have stopped, and normal payments have resumed.

TV2’s Sydney Brown spoke with resources on campus and in the community to learn how students can still receive assistance.
