Kent State’s ticket vendor down due to security breach
The third-party ticket vendor for Kent State events, including athletics and performing arts, experienced a security breach Tuesday.
AudienceView has halted services until the investigation is over. The university will not be able to sell tickets online or have access to information on ticket purchases during this time.
The breach can affect those who purchased tickets through AudienceView between Feb. 17 and Feb. 21, according to a press release from the university. It may involve a leak of credit card information, and users who purchased a ticket in February may receive an email from AudienceView with additional information and instructions.
“We strongly encourage anyone who purchased tickets in February to check your credit card statements carefully and immediately,” stated the press release from the university.
The university asks those who plan to attend the men’s basketball game Tuesday to arrive early in order to have more time to process tickets before the 7 p.m. game. Those who still need to purchase tickets can do so in-person at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
