Branded at Kent brings vintage clothing to downtown Kent
Vintage fans listen up, there’s a new store in downtown Kent that you’re going to want to hear about. Are you a lover of 80’s and 90’s clothing? A sneakerhead or a sports fanatic? Well then Branded in Kent is the place for you. Owners and brothers in law Brendan O’Brien and Lance Calvert, opened their flagship store in Butler, Pennsylvania after retiring from the military. The duo then decided to put down roots here in Kent as well, hoping to connect with the college and fashion communities. But it’s more than just vintage, Branded in Kent lives and works by their motto “turning clothing waste into sustainable fashion”. Branded sources all their own clothing, sorting through 80,000 pounds of clothing per month. The clothing is then sorted, cleaned, and tagged before being put out in stores. At Branded in Kent there is something for everyone, from t-shirts, to jackets, as well as vintage denim, there is plenty to love at Branded in Kent. The store is open most days from 12-8 in downtown Kent, for updates and deals check out their instagram @brandedatkent. For online shopping check out their website www.brandedinbutler.com.
