Kicking off homecoming with Flash Bash

Kicking off the week before Homecoming, Kent State’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG) and Flash Activities Board (FAB) will host “Flash Bash” on Monday.

With Homecoming week quickly approaching, Kent State is eager to get students excited for what is to come. While Homecoming does not kick off until Oct. 1, FAB is getting a head start on festivities.

FAB has hosted hundreds of events for students on their own but is collaborating with USG for Flash Bash. The two student organizations are coming together to bring a fun atmosphere to students and show them Kent State does not mess around when it comes to school spirit.

FAB and USG are known for giving the students what they want: free stuff. Flash Bash is no exception to this. Students who attend Flash Bash will receive free cookies, as well as a free Kent State bucket hat for the first 500 students to show up.

Flash Bash will also include roller skating and music.

“Roller skates are free and available for students, you do not have to bring your own,” said Jillian Mt. Castle, president of FAB. “I wanted to do something different, Katie, one of our advisors mentioned that they used to do roller rinks on the K.”

Flash Bash will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Risman Plaza.
