The Haven of Portage County opened its doors to the community on Tuesday. The Haven serves as a homeless shelter for individuals and houses up to 64 guests at one time.

The shelter is in need of food and financial donations, including gift cards to Giant Eagle, Aldi and Walmart. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter located at 2645 Route 59 in Ravenna Township during regular business hours.
