Student Legal Services holds open house

All students are welcome to attend the Student Legal Services’ open house noon to 5 p.m. today in room 118 McDowell Hall.

“It’s nice to finally see that it’s up and running,” Sen. Adam Croweak said. “It’s kind of the culmination of everything we’ve worked for.”

Student Legal Services was first proposed by Undergraduate Student Senate in fall 2003, and students approved the program in a referendum vote in March 2004.

Student Legal Services offers legal advice, counseling and in some cases representation to all students who do not opt out of the program’s $7 fee each semester.

Croweak will be at the open house and suggested students stop by.

“It’ll be a good chance for them to come over and see the office and meet the attorneys,” Croweak said.
