Men’s golf takes lead in tourney
The women’s golf team finished its first round of the NCAA Women’s Central Regional held in Lubbock, Texas, tied for 15th at 14-over-par 302.
The Flashes are tied with Baylor and Wake Forest. Texas took the lead with a 2-over-par 290.
Kira Meixner led the Flashes with a 1-over 73.
The women’s golf team is looking to earn its third ever bid to the NCAA Championships. Kent State is one of 21 teams vying for the top eight spots to advance to NCAA Championships. The top two individual golfers will also advance.
