‘Race for the Media’ discussion tonight

Student leaders of several campus organizations on campus are meeting to discuss racial issues within the media.

The discussion, called “Race for the Media,” is moderated by Gene Shelton, an instructor and the academic diversity adviser for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The panel was formed in response to a column written by Aman Ali, a columnist for the Daily Kent Stater, said Marianne Warzinski, program coordinator for the College of Communication and Information Commons. The panel will primarily discuss minority issues within the media.

Students who are interested in attending the discussion are welcome to do so. The discussion will take place at 7 p.m. tonight in the Verder Hall lounge.
