First place: 345 Flats 

Located on South Depeyster Street, 345 Flats was voted best off-campus housing. The apartment building, which was constructed in 2016, offers a variety of amenities, including a 24-hour fitness center, parking garage, on-site recycling and a study lounge. 

345 Flats appeals to many residents because of its close proximity to downtown Kent, said leasing manager Collin Lefelhoc. The apartment building is within walking distance of Kent State’s campus as well.  

Rent ranges from $675 and $1,255, according to the apartment’s website. Residents can live in one, two or four-bedroom apartments. 

Second place: The Province 

Taking second place is The Province, located on South Lincoln Street. This apartment complex is within walking distance of Kent State’s campus and features numerous amenities such as a pool, clubhouse, movie theater and fitness center. Rent ranges from $625 to $1,180, according to The Province’s website. 

Third place: Holly Park/Campus Pointe/University Edge 

Tying for third are Holly Park, Campus Pointe and University Edge. These apartments are all within a mile of Kent State’s campus, making them convenient locations for students. Campus Pointe and University Edge offer several of the same amenities, including a 24-hour fitness center and free printing.
