Ravenna man killed in car accident

Larry Yaw, 68, of Ravenna, died as a result of his injuries from a car crash on the 1900 block of Brady Lake Road in Kent Friday afternoon.

Yaw was driving his Chrysler Sebring when he went left of center and hit Naaman Myers’ Dodge Caravan head-on, the State Highway Patrol reported. Yaw was taken to Robinson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Myers, 52, of Cuyahoga Falls, was treated and released from Akron City Hospital.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to have been a factor in the crash, according to the State Highway Patrol. The crash is still under investigation.
