Reynolds is tough to hit
As a freshman pitcher for the Kent State softball team, Kylie Reynolds isn’t just breaking records, she is shattering them.
The freshman from Georgia has recorded 102 strikeouts in 59 innings of work, making her the quickest Kent State pitcher to strikeout 100 in a season.
Last season, Brittney Robinson set the mark by striking out 104 in 80 innings.
Reynolds also set the mark for most strikeouts in a game by recording 17 against Kansas Feb. 25. The previous record was held by Robinson, who struck out 16 against Northern Illinois last season.
The softball team will travel to Florida today for the Stetson Tournament. They will open Mid-American Conference play March 30 at Bowling Green.
