Lacrosse wraps up season with pair of playoff wins
Kent State women’s lacrosse traveled to the University of Toldeo for the playoffs Saturday and beat Toldeo, 9-7, and then went on to another victory over Western Michigan, 6-5.
Our lead scorer was center Jenn Eyerman with five goals. Home Kaitlyn Costello scored three, followed by center Angie McGrady with two. Wings Missy Kudla and Lauren Strohl, home Sarah Jacob, and centers Ashley Anderson and Lisa Stoddard each added one goal.
Leading in assists were Kudla, Mcgrady and Jacob. Our defense also did a tremendous job, allowing only 12 goals in this fierce competition.
Kent State finished their season with an overall record of 10-3 and a mark of 10-1 within our division. With most of the team returning in the fall, we look forward to a winning season again next year!
