Club lacrosse beats Slippery Rock, again
Kent State women’s lacrosse beat Slippery Rock University in the freezing rain Wednesday evening.
Our wonderful defense, led by our fearless goalie Liz Michalos, kept SRU to only four goals. Liz had 10 saves in the game and a season high six interceptions.
Our leading scorers were center Jenn Eyerman and home Kaitlyn Costello with four goals each. Nicci Iannacchione scored two goals, and wing Julia Ng and center Ashley Anderson each scored one. Ashley Anderson led in assists with three.
With the final score of 12-4, Kent State lacrosse is now 6-2 for the season and 6-0 in our division. We are hosting Penn State, West Virginia Wesleyan University and West Virginia University at the commons for our playday Sunday. In the first game, Kent State will play Penn State at 11 a.m.
