Woman sexually assaulted in early-morning hours
Kent State Police received a third-party report that early yesterday morning a woman was restrained and sexually assaulted while returning from an off-campus party.
Kathleen Wills, a police dispatcher, said the exact location of the incident is unknown, and the woman does not wish to file a police report at this time.
She said while it is a person’s choice whether to file a police report, it is encouraged so police may find out more information about the incident.
Brian Hellwig, security manager, said campus security offers an escort service between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. every night to escort students from and around campus as an extra security measure.
