Pro Bowlers to be honored at half-time Saturday
Kent State graduates Joshua Cribbs and James Harrison will be in attendance tomorrow at the men’s basketball game against Ohio in the M.A.C. Center.
The two NFL stars made their first Pro Bowls this season. The Athletic Department will honor the two at half-time of the 3 p.m. game.
Cribbs, who played from 2000 to 2004, is the all-time leader in total offense at Kent State with 10,839 yards. He went undrafted but was signed by the Browns in 2005.
This season, Cribbs returned two kickoffs and one punt for a touchdown.
Harrison played for Kent State from 1998 to 2001. He went undrafted but was signed by the Steelers. After being released from the team twice, he was signed by Pittsburgh again in 2004 and joined the starting lineup in 2006. This season, his fourth in the league, he had 98 tackles, 8.5 sacks and one interception.
Antonio Gates, who played basketball at Kent State and also made the Pro Bowl, has not yet confirmed he will be in attendance tomorrow. He didn’t play in the Pro Bowl due to injury, but it was the fourth consecutive season he was named to the Pro Bowl.
It was the first Pro Bowl for both Cribbs and Harrison.
