Students charged with felonious assault
Two Kent State students were arrested and charged with felonious assault over the weekend.
Sophomore psychology major Benjamin M. Chambers and Henry W. Horvath III, freshman visual communication design major, were arrested in connection with a fight that occurred outside Clark Hall at about 3 a.m. Feb. 17, said Lt. Carl Sweigert of Kent State police.
The two victims were both non-students, ages 16 and 17, he said.
“Remarks were exchanged and that led to some sort of physical altercation between them,” Sweigert said.
The names and the extent of the victims’ injuries could not be determined.
Chambers’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Kent Municipal Court, and Horvath’s is at 9 a.m. the same day.
