Former KSU women’s basketball player sentenced for receiving stolen property
A former Kent State women’s basketball player was sentenced to probation Monday after pleading guilty to receiving stolen property.
ChyTearra Kintchen, who now attends Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., entered a written plea of guilty to receiving stolen property, a fifth degree felony, on June 27. The prosecution dropped a charge of forgery.
Kintchen was also ordered to pay half of the restitution.
Jamilah Humes, sophomore journalism and mass communication major, pled guilty to receiving stolen property June 11. Humes was sentenced to one year probation Aug. 1 and must pay half of the restitution also.
Women’s basketball coach Bob Lindsay said Humes is still at Kent State and playing basketball this season.
Kintchen and Humes were accused of receiving a stolen debit card last fall.
