Dining Services hosts ‘Iron Chef’

Dining Services and Kent Interhall Council will host “Iron Chef” at 4:30 p.m. today in the lower lounge of Eastway.

Three teams of students will participate along with a team of Residence Services staff members.

Similar to the TV show, the teams are expected to cook the best dish they can come up with in one hour using three predetermined ingredients – zucchini, spinach and shallots – as well as a secret ingredient announced at the beginning of the competition.

Autumn Piller, marketing manager for dining services said, the ingredient is only known by head chef John Gaylor.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. The first place team will be awarded a $75 gift certificate to a restaurant of their choice, while $25 and $15 gift certificates will be awarded to second and third place.

All prizes are provided by KIC.
