Provost hopes to have search underway by end of semester

An interim dean will be appointed to take James Gaudino’s position as dean of the College of Communication and Information.

Gaudino is leaving Kent State to take a position as president of Central Washington University.

Dan Mahony, dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Services, will chair a search committee to look for a replacement CCI dean.

Provost Robert Frank asked the Faculty Senate Executive Committee yesterday to recommend faculty members for the search committee. He hopes to have a search fully implemented before the end of the semester.

Gaudino will be officially named to his new position Jan. 1.
