Men’s basketball takes down Morehead State, 79-76

Senior guard Al Fisher scored 27 points to lead the Kent State men’s basketball team to a 79-76, come-from-behind victory over Morehead State in an ESPNU BracketBuster game tonight at the M.A.C. Center.

The Flashes (16-11) trailed for much of the game, but Fisher led a second-half comeback by scoring 19 points after the break. Fisher scored 13 of those points in a 16-2 run that gave the Flashes their biggest lead of the game, 75-65 with 32 seconds left.

Junior guard Tyree Evans scored 19 points and junior guard Chris Singletary added 15 for the Flashes, who won their eighth game in a row.

Kent State will return to Mid-American Conference action with a game at Bowling Green at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
