JD Eichler & the Goodnights will perform at the Rathskeller at 9 p.m. Friday in a free show.

The adult contemporary-style band tours the Midwest, playing at venues including Blossom Music Center and the Cleveland Agora, and they have opened for acts such as Coldplay and Rod Stewart.

The five-man group integrates a violin, keyboard and an electric mandolin into its music. They will be playing tracks from their latest album, “The Shape of Things.”
