Board of Trustees approves Kent Core curriculum, tour campus
Kent State’s Board of Trustees adjourned the public portion of its first meeting of the year this morning.
The board approved replacing the Liberal Education Requirements with the new Kent Core curriculum.
“We’ve streamlined it,” President Lester Lefton said. “It will facilitate student graduating within four years.”
Members of the board and President Lefton’s cabinet are currently touring the campus, evaluating buildings that are likely to be targeted in an extensive, university-wide renovation.
