A small plane crash on the New Jersey shore claimed five lives, according to the FAA. The plane was attempting to land at Monmouth Executive Airport, 50 miles outside of New York City. The FAA and police are still investigating the crash.

A woman is charged with the murder of her three co-workers. We go to Anthony Ezzo for more on this story.

According to CNN, biology professor Amy Bishop Anderson was charged in the killings of three faculty members at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Authorities said she was attending a faculty meeting in a university building when she pulled out a gun and shot six colleagues, killing three of them. The mother of four was arrested as she was leaving the building. Anderson is charged with capital murder, making her eligible for the death penalty in Alabama. On Saturday, it was revealed that in 1986, Anderson, then 19, shot her brother to death in Braintree, Massachusetts, but authorities ruled it accidental.

Some great news for Kent State’s football team. Here’s Matt North with more.

The NCAA granted running back Eugene Jarvis a sixth year of eligibility. Jarvis missed all 2 games this last season due to injury, sparking the NCAA to grant him the rare sixth year. Jarvis holds the school single season record for rushing yards set in 2007.
