School of Music presents opera series

This weekend, the School of Music presents “One Act Wonders,” an opera series featuring 19 student vocalists, the Kent State University Orchestra and lighting designed by the School of Theatre and Dance.

Director of Opera Kerry Glann said the series features both dramatic and comical acts.

The three acts presented are: “Dido and Aeneas” by Henry Purcell, “The Telephone” by Gian Carlo Menotti and “Trial by Jury” by Gilbert & Sullivan.

Showtimes for the performance are 8 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are free for Kent State students with ID, $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and other students.
