Snow continues to pile up on the east coast this week, this time affecting the southern United States. The National Weather service has issued storm warnings and winter weather advisories in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee and over 58 flights out of the region have been cancelled due to the unexpected snowstorms.

The mailman could just be coming 5 days a week in the future. BSR’s Anthony Ezzo has more.

The U.S. Postal Service announced Tuesday that it will incur about $238 billion in losses in the next 10 years if Congress doesn’t permit it to revamp its outdated business model. The agency is proposing an adjusted mail service schedule, which will likely cut Saturday delivery, and eliminating its prepaid retiree health benefits. That alone, it says, will cut $90 billion in costs over the next 10 years. USPS also suggests closing some branches and raising its prices, moves which would require Congressional approval.

After a weekend of upsets in college basketball, we have a surprise a top the men’s polls. Here’s Matt North with more.

For the first time in 20 years, the Syracuse Men’s Basketball team is #1 in both the coach’s and media polls after their win against Villanova over the weekend. Syracuse started the season unranked making them just the sixth team in the history of the polls to go from the bottom to top in the regular season.

Currently it is 30 degrees and skies are mostly cloudy. For tonight, a chance of light snow with temperatures in the low 30’s.

Hip-Hop blues performers G. Love and Special Sauce will be performing at Cleveland’s House of Blues Wednesday, March 10 at 8:30 PM. Tickets are $18.50 in advance or an extra $5 at the door.
