Honors College hosting poetry reading today

The Honors College is hosting a poetry reading featuring Kent State alumna Jeanne Bryner at 7 p.m. today in room 60 in Johnson Hall.

Focusing mainly on working class issues, Bryner has written six books and a play, “Foxglove Canyon” which was performed last April in Akron.

Since being adapted for stage, her nursing poetry is currently being performed by Verb Ballets in Cleveland thanks to the support of Hiram College’s Center for Literature and Medicine and Biomedical Humanities.

Bryner is a graduate of Trumbull Memorial’s School of Nursing and Kent State’s Honors College.
