Democratic candidate to meet with students
Yvette Brown, Ohio lieutenant governor Democratic candidate, will meet with students today from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of Eastway. The event is hosted by College Democrats, Black United Students and NAACP, and is in coordination with Undergraduate Student Government’s political candidate series. She will speak briefly about her campaign and answer questions. Laura Vanzo, communications director for College Democrats, said the event is a great opportunity for students to get to know a potential government representative.
“Students need to know who they’re going to be voting for,” Vanzo said. “It’s important to know who you’re sending to represent you.”
Brown will also be stopping by Ashland University prior to her Kent visit.
