The Kent State University Ice Arena is hosting Haunted wRECk, a haunted house themed as “Nightmare Before Christmas.” The event is on Thursday, Oct. 28, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Guests will arrive at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center and will be shuttled to the Ice Arena by the “Spooky Express” bus.

About 10 children in each group will be guided through a scary or non-scary version of each area, depending on their age group.

The trick-or-treat style event is free and will include food and crafts, but participants are encouraged to bring nonperishable items to be donated to Kent Social Services.

The tour begins at the SRWC, where ghoul guides will take the kids through seven themed areas for trick-or-treating.
