Baseball game postponed after three innings

The heavy snowfall Wednesday afternoon postponed the Kent State baseball game after three complete innings against Penn State.

The Nittany Lions lead 1-0 after three innings when umpires Jeremy Stangelo and Patrick Kennedy called for a delay due to visibility. After 20 minutes, visibility was still an issue and the game was called.

The date to resume play has not been announced. The two teams are scheduled to meet again April 5 at Penn State for a 6:05 p.m. start.

The Flashes now travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to face Western Michigan for their first Mid-American Conference road series. Action begins Friday at 3 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday both start at 1 p.m.
