Around noon Thursday, members of the Kent State community traveled downtown to encourage students and staff to walk or bike rather than drive. The “Let’s take a ride/walk” event was put on by the KSU sustainability task force.

This is the first year for the event and students who attended received 500 Flashperk points.

The task force hopes this will encourage Kent State and the community to be more connected in these green efforts.
