An accident closed part of state Route 43 in front of Mike’s Place Restaurant just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

A car turning left from state Route 261 onto state Route 43 was struck by a car going straight through the intersection, Kent Police Lt. Donnie Brown said.

The state route reopened around 5:15 p.m. It is unknown if anyone was injured.
