Prominent Kent artist dies at 68
Robert E. Wood died Sunday morning of a heart attack.
The 68-year-old had two art degrees from Kent State University and had displayed his work at the Haymaker Farmers’ Market, Art in the Park and other local galleries.
According to KentPatch, Lt. Patrick Edwards of the Kent Fire Department confirmed the department responded to a call to Woods’ 401 Summit Gardens home and transported him to Robinson at 5:04 a.m.
Wood, sometimes known to students as “F*** You Bob,” got his nickname for flipping off drivers in various locations around Kent.
Memorials or services have yet to be determined.
