The Women’s Center will reward two female sophomore, junior or senior full-time students with a $500 scholarship this semester. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Feb. 14.

Recipients are chosen based on academic performance, leadership and the individual’s contribution to women’s issues on campus and in the community.

Applications can be submitted on http://www.kent.edu/womenscenter/resources/scholarships.cfm. One reference letter and a resume should also be turned in to the Women’s Center.

The Women’s Center has awarded 16 scholarships since 2003. Funds come from the Mothers, Mentors and Muses reception that the organization holds each year to recognize women who have served these roles. This year’s event will be held March 6.
