Career Services center to host first Career Fair Toolkit Workshop
The Career Services center will host its first Career Fair Toolkit Workshop series this month to help students prepare for the Spring Job and Internship Fair.
One of the main purposes of the workshops is to teach students how to make effective use of their time at the job and internship fair, said Ryan McNaughton, career counselor for the Career Services Center.
“The most important thing, from my perspective, is we’re teaching students how to network,” McNaughton said.
In addition to learning networking skills, students will also learn how to dress to impress, research companies and prepare an effective elevator pitch.
McNaughton said a resume review will also be available to students.
The sessions will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and March 28 from noon to 1 p.m.
To participate, students can log in to their Experience Job and Internship Board account on Flashline and locate the workshops under the one-click searches link.
