Board could approve 3.5 percent tuition increase at Wednesday’s meeting
The Kent State University Board of Trustees will convene at its regular business meeting 2 p.m. Wednesday to approve Fall 2012 tuition rates and other agenda items.
Kent State increased tuition for the 2011-2012 school year by the maximum 3.5 percent allowed in last year’s state tuition cap. The university could legally increase tuition by the same percent for the 2012-2013 school year.
The trustees will meet in committees to consider specific issues:
•The Academic Excellence and Student Success Committee will meet at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the George Urban Conference Room.
•The Audit/Finance and Administration Committee will meet at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in room 222 of the Kent Campus Library.
•The External Relations and Development Committee will meet at 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the George Urban Conference Room.
The board will meet in the George Urban Board of Trustees Conference Room on the second floor of the Kent Campus Library at 2 p.m.
