Even more developments are coming to the downtown community.
One project already in progress is the renovation of the old Kent Hotel building.
Downtown is on its way to a brand new look.
The 92-year-old landmark that was once the Kent Hotel has been re-named Acorn Corner and is being prepared to house new tenants.
For those of you looking to sign a new lease, the luxury apartments on the fifth floor aren’t for the typical student.
Developer Ron Burbick says they’re reasonable but not cheap.
The available space targets graduate students, professors and young professionals.
The building is estimated to be fully restored and occupied by December of this year.
