Expanding horizons by studying abroad
Children play and bathe in the Yamuna River as their mother washes clothes along the bank. The Yamuna River is a holy river that runs near the city of Delhi, India. The river has recently become an unsanitary spot in India due to the amount of defecating, washing and bathing that takes place in the river. Food is often washed in the Yamuna River as well, contributing to many food-born illnesses. Photos were taken on a study abroad trip in India. Photo by Kristin Bauer.
