“At this point of the year are that we try to improve we try and improve on every single game and prepare ourselves the best we possible can for the Mid-American Conference,” Head Coach Rob Marinaro said.

Kent State is going into the tournament after a 1-1 tie at Valparaiso and an undefeated record. Golden Flashes defense has been strong and freshman Stephanie Senn has only allowed two goals out of eight shots on goal.

Lamar is coming into the tournament with 6-0 win against Southern University, and UTSA lost to Texas A&M 0-2.

“Competitions going to be very strong here and a very different atmosphere for our ladies to experience but again the focus is doing it better every time that we play, and the expectation is that they go out there and they work to their best ability,” Marinaro said about the competition and the tournament.
