World renowned Harvard chemistry professor George M. Whitesides spoke to students and professors on October 9th in the Kiva. Whitesides has published almost one thousand scholarly scientific articles and is one of the most cited scientists in the world. In addition to his scholarly articles, Whitesides is listed as the inventor on more than 50 patents and has co-founded more than 12 companies. He has been at Harvard for about 30 years and is one of only 21 university professorships at the institution.
