Registration for outdoor climbing trip in Medina County
The Department of Recreational Services’ Adventure Center is offering an outdoor climbing trip at 9 a.m. Saturday at Whipps Ledges.
Whipps Ledges are giant sandstone rock boulders and caves located on the Hinckley Reservation at the Medina County outpost of the Cleveland Metroparks.
Students can climb cliffs 350 feet tall that overlook Hinckley Lake.
The registration deadline is Oct. 24. The cost for students is $45, which includes transportation and equipment.
Climber must have passed the Safety and Skills Test to participate.
