Country singer LeAnn Rimes will be performing at Kent State University at Tuscarawas 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Performing Arts Center.

Mike Morelli, general manager of the Performing Arts Center, said students requested an on-campus performance with Rimes. Morelli predicts Rimes’s concert will have a great turn out.

“I think it will draw in a large audience,” Morelli said. “That’s one of the values of taking people’s suggestions. There will be a healthy blend of people from the community and Kent State students.”

Tuscarawas has set up an acoustic show with Rimes and her band. She is expected to perform older songs and tracks from her most recent album, Lady & Gentlemen.

General admission tickets are $49 to $69. Kent State students receive a $5 discount per ticket.

“I’m sure it will be a great show as usual,” Morelli said. “It’s hard to go wrong with LeAnn Rimes.”
